Agriturismo, Agricamping and educational farm.
Agriculture, in addition to fulfilling its primary function with the diversification of the obtained and processed products, is able to provide secondary services useful to the community, such as the dining, agricamping and educational/social activities offered by the farm Le fornaci del Zarnic.
The farm “Le Fornaci del Zarnic” owned by Forgiarini Federico, is located in the municipality of Rivignano Teor, in an area characterized by the presence of flowing waters along a tangle of rivers and canals, in that characteristic part of the Low Friulian plain that is home to the springs. The Stella river with its springs and ridges, the riparian forest, wet meadows and stable meadows, are undoubtedly the most peculiar aspects of the territory; and precisely these aspects have been preserved and safeguarded over time in the company’s environmental reassessment projects, aimed at enhancing the company, its products and the territory in which it exists.
The farm covers about 38 hectares where vegetables, small fruits and vines are harvested, along with cattle breeding in the wild and beekeeping. The farm shop and agriturismo offer therefore a great variety of genuine products: different kinds of fruit, seasonal vegetables, small fruits, honey, edible plants picked within the nature reserve and processed products such as jams, mustards, apple juices, syrups and pickles. Cattle breeding guarantees meat production and processed products of different nature. From the vineyard an annual production of excellent wine is obtained.
